At Financial District Dentistry, we want you to feel informed and comfortable before you even step through our doors. Your first appointment consists of a consultation where we review your current oral health, explain any findings, and cover your treatment options together.
Preparing for Your Consultation
To help your first visit go smoothly, please bring the following to your appointment:
- Your referral slip and X-rays, if applicable
- A list of any medications you are taking
- Any known allergies or medical conditions
- Medical or dental insurance information to be filed
If you’ve had X-rays taken within the last six months, please have your previous dentist forward them to our office ahead of time. If there isn’t enough time before your appointment, you’re welcome to pick them up and bring them with you. Please note that a parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18.
In some cases, treatment can be completed the same day as your consultation. However, more complex treatment plans or complicated medical histories may require a second appointment for treatment after a full evaluation. Please let our office know in advance if you have a medical condition that could be a concern prior to any procedure, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves or joints, rheumatic fever, or blood disorders — this helps us prepare appropriately for your care.
Depending on what we find during your consultation, your dentist may recommend services ranging from a routine cleaning to more involved treatment such as root canal therapy or dental implants.
